What Differentiates Snap?

Automatic + Manual Analysis

Up until the 1980’s, sleep was analyzed in a laboratory by technicians who manually recorded events with pen and paper. Today sleep data analysis is more commonly an automated, computer-driven process, particularly with home sleep tests. Snap’s test integrates advanced automatic analysis technology with a traditional approach by manually assuring the quality of every test.

Every patient’s sleep data is analyzed at our lab by professionally trained sleep technicians, under the supervision of board certified and practicing physicians. Our sleep specialists are available to provide report interpretations.

Process Transparency

Providers can access their patients’ raw sleep data files and review our complete analysis.

Snap technology allows for accurate identification of obstructive and central apnea events, as well as other irregular respiratory patterns. Our home sleep test directly measures actual breathing, as compared to some competitors who only estimate breathing from non-respiratory signals. We felt it important to capture five essential channels of sleep data from three sensor locations. Apnea indices are calculated based upon analyzed sleep time (AHI, RDI) as well as total recording time (REI).

Snap equipment is cleared by the FDA for adult and pediatric use. Our company is ISO 13485 Certified and accredited by The Joint Commission.

Acoustical Snoring Analysis

In addition to respiratory and oximetry events, the Snap test measures sound. This allows our analysts to listen to events as they score the data. In addition, we quantify snoring volume and patterns to provide the most comprehensive snoring analysis.
